For Self Hosting I have developed an hybrid setup. My Docker Swarm is distributed in a a number of nodes. Two of them are in hardware in premises, because of A reminder on Digital Sovereignty
It has took me a couple of years to hook all the cables together. In the way I have learnt a great deal of networking and cybersecurity. This is very much outside of the scope of my work. At times, I thought that I was stealing time from my subject matter of expertise, and I questioned multiple times if it was worthy. Similar thoughts came to me while wiring the frontend of my projects.
